As a Data Engineer in our Data Squad, you will make sure that EVERYONE at FRVR, our game studios, and distribution partners has easy and reliable access to the high-quality, data they need to make the right decisions every day.

- On a daily basis, we stream roughly 60 million game events to our Data Warehouse - BigQuery utilizing tools like PubSub and DataFlow, Cloud Run.
- We store approximately 50 TBs (growing super fast!) of data.
- Additionally, we ingest data from external sources (APIs, Logs, SpreadSheets) using Composer (managed Airflow).
- We are DBT lovers (Data Modeling).
- While working with data we use Containerisation, Continuous Integration/Deployment, IaaC - soon.
On top of expanding and maintaining our data model, we expect you to:
Partner with game studios, game producers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to obtain an understanding of each team's data needs and translate them into tooling that enables a data-driven culture
Update FRVR data model documentation to serve analytical value to our business,
Design scalable and cost-effective solutions following the DataOps strategy
Help us introduce tools for data quality testing, data lineage, and data anomalies detection
Participate in code peer reviews
You are the perfect fit if you have:
Advanced SQL (CTEs, window functions, query optimization techniques)
Experience with the cloud-native data warehouse (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift) and modern data stack (DBT)
Familiarity with any of DWH modeling styles (Data Vault, Kimball or Activity Schema etc).
Familiarity with Git, Unix, Docker
Knowledge about DAG-oriented workflow tools such as Airflow, Luigi, Prefect
Scripting language (Python, Bash, JavaScript
